The following SPA City Dance Club events are scheduled for 2011: April 29th VFW - Hustle lessons at 6:15 pm - 7:00 pm w/Faron Richey DANCE starts at 7:00 pm! Change in Alex Ward’s May Pig N Whistle date for Hot Springs - Austin Hotel, Saturday May 7th 4:30 pm. The Little Rock Pig N Whistle will be Sunday, May 8th at the American Legion #1. Alex takes a summer break but will return in September. May 13th VFW - Lessons at 6:15 pm - 7:00 pm Dance starts at 7:00 pm! May 14th the HSV Country Two-Steppers will be hosting a dance at the Coronado Center Auditorim from 7-10 pm. Cost is $5 per person. Large dance floor and smoke-free. DJ will be Monica Morgan. Cash bar opens at 6:30 pm. In addition to East and West Coast Swing, a variety of music for two-step, triple-step, cha-cha, waltz, night-club two-step will be included. Upcoming events June 4th – Luau. The Bop Club will provide the meat and soft drinks, you bring your favorite potluck items and lawn chairs. Daytime fun and games with a little dancing on the side! Members and guests can wear their tropical attire and celebrate the beginning of summertime. Location - home of Sandy and John Martin. Flyers and maps available at next dance. July 29th - Anniversary Party – VFW – November 11th – Election Night December 9th – Dance at the Regency.
Things to Remember: Spa City Bop and Swing Dance Club Members
Ask someone new to dance, especially visitors and new members. · Count to 20 before "cutting in" during the Jam Session · Clap for your D.J. · Be considerate of other dancers around you. If you bump into someone...say "excuse me". · Leave the perimeter of the dance floor for traveling dancers. · Ladies...ask those guys to dance! · Renew your membership on time. · Volunteer to help! · And above all else...HAVE FUN!!!
